HIMA•San Pablo Caguas

  • 1988 The Interamerican Advance Medicine Hospital (HIMA in Spanish) began operations in Caguas.
  • 1989 Opened the first unit neonatal intensive care (NICU) in a private hospital in P.R.
  • 1996 Opened the Radiology Imaging Center Acquired Font Martelo Hospital in Humacao to create HIMA Integrated Health System (with the primary level care at Centro Corp. (HIMA), secondary level care (HIMA Humacao) and tertiary level care (HIMA Caguas).
  • 1997 Together with Sabiamed developed one of the first electronic medical records programs in Puerto Rico.
  • 2003 Began offering services in the Respiratory Care Unit, Post-Surgical Care Unit and Telemetry.
  • 2004 Acquired Surgicenter now known as HIMA • San Pablo Ambulatory Center Caguas.
  • 2005 Acquired San Pablo Hospital in Bayamón and the San Pablo del Este Hospital in Fajardo to create Group HIMA•San Pablo.
